Carlie's First Dance Recital

My little girl is all grown up! You've gotta love that smile! Carlie has enjoyed her first year of dance and seems to have learned a little bit about ballet and tap dancing. Just in case you are interested, her first dance recital is on June 12th. I just thought this was a cute picture and wanted to share it.

Thanksgiving Point and Treehouse Museum

Here are a few pictures from our recent outing to Thanksgiving Point's Tulip Festival. It was a fun day spent with Grandma Emery, Aunt Michelle and Cousin Cole. It was also a chilly day (however Carlie wanted to wear a short sleeve shirt, skirt with sandals and no jacket-must take after her Dad)! We didn't get many pictures of the tulips, but they were beautiful! I'd never seen the waterfall in the gardens until this visit and it was amazing. The Children's Garden is definitely a place we will have to take the kids during the summer to play in the water by Noah's Ark!Carlie and Davis with their cousin Cole

We recently got a pass to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden. It's not too far from our house and it is a great place to take the kids to let them run around and play for a few hours. Carlie's and Davis' favorite part about the museum is the craft area. This is the first place they go, when we visit, to see what they are making for the day. Carlie also had a chance to pretend to be a fish in one of the plays the kids participate in on Friday nights. There is always something new and fun for them to do. I am sure we will be visiting the Treehouse Museum more during the hot, hot days of summer so, if anyone wants to go, give us a call!

Joseph's Blessing Day

We had the opportunity to bless baby Joseph at Monica's parents church on Saturday evening (April 19th). Only family and close friends attended which made the evening a very personal experience. We are grateful to all those that traveled to share this day with us! Rick's Grandma and Grandpa Lambert and Grandma Chandler drove from Idaho so they could be there to support us and show their love to baby Joseph. We wanted to thank all the family and friends that made such an effort to be at Joseph's blessing. We are so lucky to have you in our lives!

Carlie's First Field Trip

Carlie and her preschool class took their first field trip last week to Kaysville's firestation. It was so much fun for both Carlie and Davis. The kids were able to tour a fire truck, ambulance and the fire house. The fireman that gave the tour was great and let the kids do just about anything. I think the best part for everyone was when the fireman drove the fire truck out of the station with the siren on. Davis loved every minute of the trip and loved sitting in the front of the fire truck. He was trying to get to all the switches to figure out what each one did. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

What's wrong with this picture?

Silly things happen when dad is in charge of bath time. Carlie and Davis thought they were pretty funny too. I can't believe Carlie actually let Davis put on her 'ducky jammies.' I think those pajamas are going to be around forever-she won't go a night without sleeping in them. I have given her many, many new pajamas to wear over the past few years, but those pajamas keep stretching and growing with her-they are like magic!

We have been slacking on the picture taking of the new baby. Here are some new pictures Rick took a few days ago of Davis and Joseph. Davis is such a good big brother and he loves his little baby Joseph.

Happy Belated Birthday Princess!

Our little Carlie Mae had a birthday last week and turned the big 4! It's hard to believe she is that old! She is our little princess. To celebrate we surprised her with tickets to Disney's Princess On Ice and a new Snow White dress. It was such a fun night and she was in awe the entire evening watching all the princesses dance.
Carlie has been waiting and anticipating her birthday for the last six months-at least. She has been counting down the days until she could have her friends over for a birthday party. She had a bunny birthday party where the kids made bunny hats, played Pin the Tail on the Bunny and other bunny games, they ate bunny cupcakes and had a little Easter egg hunt in the backyard. Here is a picture of the kids in their bunny hats. They looked so cute.
