Carlie's First Field Trip

Carlie and her preschool class took their first field trip last week to Kaysville's firestation. It was so much fun for both Carlie and Davis. The kids were able to tour a fire truck, ambulance and the fire house. The fireman that gave the tour was great and let the kids do just about anything. I think the best part for everyone was when the fireman drove the fire truck out of the station with the siren on. Davis loved every minute of the trip and loved sitting in the front of the fire truck. He was trying to get to all the switches to figure out what each one did. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

What a fun idea! We live right by a fire station. I should check into doing that. Will they let just anyone come and tour it, or did you have to schedule something first?

We scheduled the trip a few days before we were going to go. We were only planning on a few kids but when word got around a lot more people in our neighborhood came. I bet if you asked around people in your neigborhood would want to go too. It was lots of fun. I'm glad we went!

Another fun way to get a little more "personalized" tour is have one of your kids crash on their bike and fracture their neck! Not only will the firetruck come, but also the ambulance! The neighbor kids will enjoy it, too! Such fun memories of Rick's childhood!
