Carlie's First Day of Preschool

Doesn't she look excited for preschool? Carlie was a little nervous for her first day of preschool, but after going once, she decided she loved it! There are six kids in her class and the moms take turns having preschool at their house. It has been good for Carlie to get to know some of the kids her age. They are becoming good friends already. I'm looking forward, yet very nervous to have six preschoolers running around my house.

And Baby Makes Three...

We are excited to announce that we are having another baby in March-our third!! Surprise, surprise. We love those March birthdays. We had our first visit to Dr. Yamashiro 2 weeks ago and so far things are going well. The ultrasound showed a very active baby. Can't wait to see if it is another Davis! Such fun. The most exciting part- Rick likes to remind me- is that we are not going to find out if it is a girl or a boy until it is actually born. It is going to be a long few months of waiting and wondering.

Labor Day at Bear Lake

The first annual GTL Reunion was held at Bear Lake over Labor Day weekend. Carlie and Davis had a great time spending the weekend with their cousins. All of us came back with some wonderful memories of this weekend We stayed at a great house overlooking the beautiful lake (thanks Heather). We look forward to returning next year.

Here are all the cousins building sand castles in the sand. What a great view of the lake!

Davis enjoyed being outside all weekend-his favorite place to be!

Carlie and Collin enjoying brunch at Bette and Marilyn's cabin.

Funny how fast things can change!

My dad said I should get used to seeing things through bars!

Whose kid is this??? Anyone want to claim him?

Bette and Marilyn's view from outside their cabin.

Carlie's first ride on a four wheeler. She didn't want to wear the helmet.

No ride for Davis. He got on long enough for a picture.

Davis and his namesake-Bette Davis.

The lake was the highlight of the weekend for Carlie and Davis. We will have to make more time to spend there next year.

Summer Fun!!

We had a fun-filled summer and now we are sad that it is coming to an end. Here are a few of our favorite things we did this summer.

In May, Rick and I celebrated our 8th anniversary in Washington D.C. We visited the D.C. temple on our trip along with all the major tourist attractions.

We spent most of the HOT summer in the water. Here are Carlie and Davis playing in the ponds at Liberty Park.

Carlie, Davis and I had a season pass to Cherry Hill. We spent most of June and all of July at the water park. It was a great way to stay cool during the hot months of the summer.

We were lucky enough to have Collin come and visit our house once a week for about 2 months this summer! The kids had lots of fun together playing outside in the pool and having picnics. Collin can come play anytime. We had a great time!

We made a few trips to Lagoon this summer. This was Davis' first and only attempt at riding the kiddie rides. He almost got ejected from the park for standing up during the ride. Carlie was very nervous for him.

We liked searching Kaysville for fun places to take the kids. We found the Castle Park on one of our adventures. The kids will play here for hours!
